Avoid SEO Mistakes

Optimising a website properly takes time and persistent effort. It is not just a case of putting up a website, sitting back and expecting it to be ranked immediately by the search engines. Wouldn’t that be brilliant….. but it is just not possible!

You must plan your SEO path carefully, stick with it, and avoid the pitfalls along the way.

There are some obvious mistakes you can make………

1. Not HAVING any SEO plan to start with.

In today’s market, setting up your website or blog and just hoping for the best is just living in a fool’s paradise.

Yes, your friends and family will “ooh” and “ah” and tell you how clever you are! This will make you feel really good, but it won’t bring traffic to your site. A lot of down to earth realism must come into play here, so head out of the clouds please! (more…)

Did you know that EzineArticles are now encouraging their authors….that’s you and me….to “repurpose” content for submission to them as an article?

That includes blog posts that you may have already written, and have been afraid to reuse for fear of being penalised for duplicate content.

The duplicate content dilemma has always been a major factor in article writing, and many people will still feel happier submitting only original articles to EZA, and then publishing them elsewhere later.

Still, it is good to know that there is another acceptable way of doing things, and many people are unaware of this.
